Experienced Systems Engineer with 3-5 plus years’ experience providing computer and network support.
Duties
- Install, configure and maintain Windows Servers
- Install, configure and maintain network switches, routers, and access points
- Configure and monitor data backups
- Maintain security with antivirus, group policies, and software patches
- Manage user accounts and related Active Directory security
- Support end user hardware and software
- Document changes in accordance with policies
- Assist in development of standards and procedures
- Assist in the management and upkeep of client network systems
- Participate in high level strategic meetings with clients about their IT infrastructure and generate project plans based upon these meetings
- Evaluate new client networks and perform network assessments. Generate reports for software / hardware recommendations.
- Document all work performed in ticketing system
Skills/Experience
- Microsoft Windows Server 2008/2012 Administration
- Microsoft Exchange Server 2007/2010 Administration
- Microsoft SQL Server and IIS Administration
- VMware vSphere management
- Citrix XenServer, XenApp, and XenDesktop management
- Storage Area Network management
- General Network configuration
- Wired, Wireless, Router, and Firewall experience
- VoIP experience a plus
- High School Diploma required
- Associate/Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Microsoft and other industry certifications preferred
- Excellent oral, written, and people skills
